I create a supportive environment for clients to explore their life experiences and discover opportunities to live in a more meaningful way.
I draw on a variety of complementary techniques to meet the needs clients bring to therapy. These techniques are important, but the relationship that we develop as client and therapist is ultimately the key to bringing about change. Empathy, honesty, and sensitivity are central to my work with all clients.
The feminist, anti-oppression, anti-racist perspective I bring to my practice also takes into account how oppression and racism -- as well as family relations -- impact our understanding of the world and our sense of wellbeing.
I welcome all adult clients who wish to explore their life experiences more deeply or to address specific challenges including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and recovery, separation and divorce, stress, illness, and chronic pain.
In addition to providing individual therapy, I facilitate bereavement and support groups.
